THINGS TO DO, PLACES TO GO, PEOPLE TO SEE!
OK, so it's cold, and festival season is over for now, Brasstown Bald is closed and so is the Farmer's Market. But fear not; there are still good reasons to come to the mountains! Here's a sampling of what you can expect in our area while you wait for Spring.
THINGS TO DO:
Be sure to visit the Misty Mountain Railroad, which is the largest model O-Gauge railroad in the United States. The railroad is displayed over a 3,400 square foot area with a mile-long track, 14 Lionel trains traveling through 15 tunnels, 12 bridges and 4 trestles. This is not for children only; people of all ages will enjoy this intricate display of trains and miniature homes which represent the Southern Appalachian area.
